The christening ceremony of their twins was celebrated by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his third wife, Olori Tobi Phillips.

The renowned ‘Ojaja II’ and his wife shared the momentous occasion on their respective Instagram pages, unveiling the names of their twins to the broader public.

Notably, the monarch and his third wife welcomed the twins into the world last weekend. Following tradition, the Ooni christened his babies eight days after their birth.

The royal twins were named in adherence to the tradition and culture of Ile Ife. The princess, Taiye, received the names Adesewa, Oreade, and Oluwatamilore Ejide Ogunwusi.

Similarly, the prince, Kehinde, was bestowed with the names Adeshina, Oreade, Ejide, and Oluwasemilore Ogunwusi.

In an online video making rounds, Olori Tobi Phillips was seen reading out the names of the twins from a paper, with palace members in attendance. However, conspicuously missing was the presence of the Ooni.

According to reports, it is customary for the Ooni to refrain from seeing his twins at this time.

The video was captioned, “Thank you so much for coming on such short notice 🩵🩵🩷🩷 I do not take the Love for granted. @hrh_oreade 💙🩷”
